Soft Skills development

The programs under this course aim to develop inter-personal skills among students that determine a person’s relationships with others. They address the emotional quotient of an individual. An Introductory Meet of students and their parents with the authorities and faculties of MGUMST was organized in this regard.

MOODLE (Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) was introduced in order to make MGUMST paperless and support the ‘Go Green Initiative’.
Language and Communication Skills development

It was implemented to promote blended learning and promote an online platform by which students can remain in contact with the teachers. Grand CME on ‘Importance of Consent in Medical Practice” was conducted to sensitize the students about the informed consent and associated medico-legal issues. International Nurses Day is celebrated by faculty and students every year on 12th May.

Language and Communication Skills development

A 3-month optional quality program on English Language is offered to all the undergraduate students of all the institutions of MGUMST. The program focuses on improving the industry-specific vocabulary, scientific writing skills, grammatical structures and medical idioms commonly used in the field of medicine. A session on “The Art of Scientific Communication – How to present” was organized to inculcate effective communication skills in the students.

Yoga Meditation and Wellness
A voluntary Yoga Camp is organized every year on the occasion of “International Yoga Day” on 21st June.

An online event, “Yoga se Hoga – Beating Stress Together” was organized from 21st June to 27th June, 2021 with certified yoga instructor.

The event emphasized on the importance of Yoga and its effects on mind and body, its techniques as well as tips for lifestyle improvement.

Analytical Skill development
Combined Clinical Round (CCR)

A weekly program is conducted under the supervision of Dean, Academics and Research, MGUMST to provide a platform for discussion on various clinical aspects of cases and rare disorders by different specialties. It ensures post graduate students and health-care professionals to stay updated on recent advances in the field of medicine with the aim of providing holistic and multi-speciality care to the patients.

    The programs in this course seek to instil and reinforce fundamental human values in students for the betterment of people and the community in general.

    TA seminar on “Curbing the menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions” was conducted to sensitize the students in this regard.

    Awareness programs on Oral Health and donor issues are regularly conducted in the institution.

    Basant Panchami is celebrated with Saraswati Pooja by dental students.

Personality and Professional development

Various pre-conference workshops and national/ international conferences are conducted in the university for personal and professional development of medical students.

Tele medicine program is organized by MGUMST to improve health care services in rural areas of Rajasthan. The tele medicine centre is visited by students of MGIHI to conduct health surveys in rural areas. Oration programs conducted in MGUMST also aim to promote holistic development of medical students.

A session on Passport Awareness Program was conducted to guide the interested students and staff about the process of passport issuance by the officials of the Regional Passport Office, Jaipur. Grand CME on ‘Importance of Consent in Medical Practice” was conducted to sensitize the students about the informed consent and associated medico-legal issues. International Nurses Day is celebrated by faculty and students every year on 12th May.

ATLS Instructor Course

    This is a value added course. The course includes interactive lectures, group discussions, triage scenarios, teaching and assessment of practical skills at Skill Station for faculty and post graduate students.

    Students of MGIHI pursue on the job training and industrial visits to undergo practical training and gain experience.

  • 03

    A session on Research Methodology was organized by MGUMST to apprise the budding research scholars about the basics of biomedical research.
