Central Library

The Mahatma Gandhi Medical College Library, established in 2000, Was dedicated to Dr. K.D. Gupta in 2007 and later renamed as the "Dr. K.D. Gupta Knowledge Resource Centre" in 2018.

The two-storied air-conditioned and well-lit library, located in the MGMC Academic block, spans 2540 SQ Meter, accommodating 510 + Users. It houses various sections, including those for old books, latest books, super specialty books, theses, periodicals, and reading halls.

Equipped with 65 computer nodes, internet, and e-library facilities, the library operates from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and The Reading facility is available for users 24*7 throughout the year. Library is automated using KOHA-Open Source Software. With a diverse collection of 32347 books, 248 national and international print journals, and 998 thesis & dissertation and equipped with advanced computing infrastructure, the library plays a crucial role in catering to the educational and research needs of MGUMST students and faculty. The Central Library also has established an Institutional Digital Repository (ई-संग्रह) Using Dspace Software.”

Additionally, it subscribes to a vast collection of online resources and collaborates with DELNET to enhance resource access.

Donated books, including those on medical ethics, Indian philosophy, Mahatma Gandhi, and the Indian Constitution, further enrich the library's collection. In addition to the Central Library, each college and department within the university also maintains separate department libraries.
