Dr. M. L. Swarankar serves as the Emeritus Chairperson at Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology (MGUMST), Jaipur, and holds the position of Trustee in the India Education Trust, the sponsoring body of MGUMST. Dr. Swarankar is a distinguished Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, internationally recognized for his expertise in Assisted Reproductive Physiology, Reproductive Medicine, and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Graduating with a gold medal from the University of Rajasthan, he completed his post-graduation at PGIMER, Chandigarh, in 1982.
His training includes In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) at the University of Liverpool, UK, and extensive training in Advanced Reproductive Technology & Microsurgery in the USA, Germany, France, Australia, among others. As the founder director of Jaipur Fertility Centre, Dr. Swarankar pioneered the first successful IVF program in Rajasthan and North India, delivering over twenty thousand babies to infertile couples over the last two decades.
Driven by a vision to establish a Medical Institute of excellence, providing quality medical education and world-class health services, particularly to the underprivileged, Dr. Swarankar's commitment to serving the community is evident. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the "Academic Entrepreneurship Excellence Award" by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in 2021. Additionally, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan honored him with the Excellency Award for his outstanding contributions to the field of Medical & Health, not only in Rajasthan but across India.
Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's favorite prayer song, “Vaishnav Jan To”, Dr. Swarankar believes in the philosophy that understanding the pain of others is akin to being one of God's own.
