Course Overview
MD Community Medicine provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, methods, and practices of public health. It covers a wide range of topics, including epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion, environmental health, health policy, and healthcare management. Students also learn to conduct community assessments, design and implement public health interventions, and analyze health data. The curriculum typically includes fieldwork and practical experience, allowing students to work in diverse settings, such as government agencies, non-profit organizations, and healthcare institutions. Apart from public health, the course offers teaching and training to students in Health research including type of epidemiological studies, research methodology, sample size, sampling techniques, tests of significance and others.
