M.Ch. Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery (CVTS)

The course covers the following:

• In-depth study of congenital and acquired diseases of the heart, diseases of the aorta and vascular system, diseases of the lungs and mediastinum amenable to surgical correction.
• Thorough training in diagnostic skills and pre-operative preparation of patients.
• Compassionate pre- and postoperative care of patients including intensive care, decision making, and ethics.
• Regular postings in Cardiology for interventional skills development.
• Hands-on training in surgical procedures involving the heart, the vascular system, lungs, and mediastinum.
