Dr. Swati Garg serves as the Provost of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology (MGUMST), Jaipur, where she brings over two decades of dedicated service. In addition to her role as Provost, she is the Director of the Mother and Child Care Centre and a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Garg has held numerous prestigious positions at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, including Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Principal, and Controller of the college.
Dr. Garg completed her MBBS and MS in Obstetrics & Gynecology at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. She has further enhanced her expertise with a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Research and another in Hospital and Healthcare Management from Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences, Pune.
Known for her disciplined and passionate approach, Dr. Garg is committed to maintaining high standards in academics, ethics, and patient care. Her dedication and excellence in her field have earned her the “Distinguished Service Award” for her achievements as an Obstetrician & Gynecologist, clinician, academician, and administrator, as well as for her exceptional contributions to the university and its institutions.
As Provost, Dr. Garg oversees the academic and administrative functions of MGUMST, ensuring that the university’s standards in education, research, and patient care are upheld. Her responsibilities include Academic Leadership, Policy Implementation, Student and Faculty Affairs, Resource Management & Community Engagement.
With her extensive experience and visionary approach, Dr. Garg is dedicated to advancing MGUMST's mission and fostering a supportive environment for students, faculty, and patients alike.
