Services Provided in the Department of Public Health Dentistry

The Department actively engages in various outreach initiatives to address the dental needs of the community, particularly those in the underprivileged populations. These initiatives include screening camps, treatment camps, and awareness programmes aimed at sensitising students to the importance of oral health in the community.

During these camps, free camp referral cards are provided to patients in need of treatment, allowing them to easily access the department’s dental services at a compensated price. This is done to ensure that individuals from all backgrounds have access to quality dental care without barriers.

Additionally, the Department collaborates with local community leaders and organisational heads to enhance oral healthcare delivery and promote oral health awareness within the community.

By working together with these partners, the department is able to reach a wider audience and provide comprehensive dental care to those in need.

The Department of Public Health Dentistry offers a wide range of comprehensive oral health care services to patients in need. These services are provided free of cost to individuals who report to the department to seek treatment.

The School Oral Health Programme initiated by the Department of Public Health Dentistry aims to promote oral health among students in both urban and rural schools in Jaipur.

Through regular educational sessions and screenings, the programme focuses on raising awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene practices.

The structured programme includes not only dental screenings but also educational sessions for parents and teachers to emphasise the role they play in supporting children's oral health. Additionally, the programme ensures the maintenance of students' oral health through thorough keeping record and tracking their progress.

Patient education is an essential component of the programme, with oral health talks, presentations, and demonstrations of proper brushing techniques using brushing models. By equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to maintain good oral hygiene, the School Oral Health Programme strives to prevent dental issues and promote overall wellness among school children.

The promotion of oral health through observance and celebration of important days dedicated to oral hygiene is a key initiative undertaken by the department. Each year, a range of engaging activities are organised to raise awareness and educate the public on the importance of maintaining good oral health.

These activities include theme-based reel making competitions, essay writing competitions, rangoli competitions, poster making competitions, oral orientations, video making contests, slogan competitions, and rallies. Through these events, participants are able to showcase their creativity and knowledge while learning about proper oral care practices.

By actively participating in these events, individuals are encouraged to take charge of their oral health and adopt healthy habits that will benefit them in the long run. The department's commitment to promoting oral health through these engaging activities serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene for overall wellness.
