Additionally, we collaborate with various NGOs to provide counseling, psychological support, manage funds during cancer
treatment, and ensure comprehensive care for cancer patients. One of the department's primary strengths is the seamless
integration of all medical super-specialties—such as cardiology, neurology, nephrology, gastroenterology, hepatology,
critical care, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, and internal medicine—facilitating prompt management of
treatment and disease-related complications.
Since 2020-21, the Department of Medical Oncology has been recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) to
train two DM students annually, covering various aspects of oncology. We conduct a range of academic activities,
including multidisciplinary tumor boards, grand rounds, faculty lectures, journal clubs, soft skills training, bone
marrow transplants, critical care tumor boards, molecular tumor boards, genetic clinics, and nursing training
programs.
