Overview

Department of Pulmonary Medicine is a tertiary referral centre for pulmonary diseases. The department has done pioneering work & benefited patients in the field of, asthma, allergy, COPD, lung cancers, tuberculosis and other lung and pleural diseases.

The department also boasts of advanced pulmonary function testing systems including DLCO. It is also equipped with fibreoptic video bronchoscope for early diagnosis of lung cancer & pneumonias. Department has Sleep lab for diagnosis of Sleep apnoea.

There is advanced pulmonary function laboratory. High-quality EBUS bronchoscope system is also available. Thoracoscopy is done frequently for diagnosis of pleural diseases. Skin prick allergy testing unit also functions under this department.

We intend to develop interventional pulmonology including bronchoscopy Cryo, APC and Cautery, Thoracoscopy & other pulmonary procedures are done at an affordable price with quality care. Department is planning to start DM Pulmonary medicine course in near future.

One of the first super speciality department of Pulmonary medicine established in a medical college in Rajasthan. Highly experienced, skilled, dedicated and qualified faculty imbibing recent teaching techniques. We have a fully equipped Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU).

The interventional pulmonology lab includes Flexible video bronchoscopy to perform procedures like bronchial washings, broncho alveolar lavage (BAL), Transbronchial needle aspiration, &Transbronchial lung biopsy. We also have Thoracoscopy for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and latest Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) to perform EBUS-TBNA. The department is ready to impart training in the field of chest diseases, Interventional pulmonology, Critical Care, Sleep Medicine, Allergy and Immunotherapy.
