Demonstration Rooms

There are two ICT enabled demonstration rooms and learning spaces are available in department with additional portable facilities to enhance mobility, multiple interaction modes and collaboration. All demonstration rooms are well-furnished and ventilated with all the required facilities.

Clinical services

Facilities like LAN/Wi-Fi, LCD, white Boards and sound system are used regularly. They are optimally utilized not only for routine teaching-learning activities but also for conducting webinars & video conferencing. These physical learning spaces are expanded with wireless connection to access online resources.

Teaching Practical Laboratory

Well equipped two ICT & Wi-Fi enabled Practical Laboratories are available in the department for students routine teaching learning activities. Practical laboratory is well equipped with required instruments, equipments and working tables are well arranged with all the chemicals & reagents.

Serology Laboratory

The laboratories is well equipped with equipments used for diagnosis of infectious diseases. The Department participates in External Quality Assurance Scheme (EQAS) organised by professional body.

Bacteriology Laboratory

In the bacteriology Section, we have facility for Automated Vitek II system for bacterial identification and sensitivity testing, Biosafety Cabinet Type – 2A and Automated Blood Culture system.

Mycobacteriology Laboratory

In the Mycobacteriology Section, we provides isolation and identification of acid fast organisms including Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other mycobacterial pathogens.

Mycology Laboratory

Mycology Section have facility for fungal culture for identification of fungi recovered from clinical specimen.

Parasitology Laboratory

In Parasitology section, provides services for the diagnosis of various parasitic infections and identification of ova/cyst from the stool specimen.

Immunology Laboratory

In the Immunology section, various immunological investigations were performed in laboratory like Dengue, Scrub typhus, Malaria etc

Serology Laboratory

In the Serology section, various serological tests performed in laboratory like Widal, TPHA etc.

Virology Laboratory

Virology Lab provide services in the diagnosis of infectious diseases. M Facility of Real Time PCR and Nucleic acid extraction is available in laboratory.

Central Diagnostic Laboratory Hospital (NABL accredited).

Fully automated laboratory with latest equipment, standard imported reagents provides par excellence quality services to the community. Central Diagnostic Laboratory is located in the hospital catering to all the routine diagnostic investigations in its special microbiology section. This Laboratory is doing many investigations like Serology of Infectious diseases by Chorus Automated ELISA Machine, Vitros ECI Machine and also have automated blood culture BACTEC Machine.

Research Museum

Microbiology department have excellent museum with a vast collection of different specimens, charts, models, etc. contributing immensely to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching learning. The medical students are encouraged to visit the museum on a regular basis.

Research Laboratory

There is one well equipped Research laboratory available for the students in the department.
