The Department of Nuclear Medicine offers post Graduate programmes in MD-Nuclear medicine and post graduate program in MSc- Nuclear Medicine Technologist course. The department strives to maintain academic excellence through teaching, learning, training, research in education and latest technology In diagnosis and treatment (Theranostics) with the application in medicine and theranostics engagement in lodine-131 and field specific areas within all Nuclear Medicine programmes.
The department has four units dedicated to High dose Radionuclide therapy, as well as a separate unit for Radionuclide bone pain palliation therapy using substances like 153-Samarium EDTMP and 177-Lutetium. The department is also using yattrum 90 for the treatment of liver cancer We have a team of qualified and experienced faculties, consultants, a radiation safety officer, and technologists, all of whom are involved in teaching, research, imaging, and bone pain palliation treatment for cancer patients using Radionuclides therapy.
In addition, our department regularly organises national seminars, conferences, and CMEs (Continuing Medical Education) events. We also invite national and international experts as guest faculties to give special lectures and provide knowledge upgrades and sharing experiences with our faculties, students, and training personnel.
