Clinical pharmacology lab with a capacity of 75 students at a time, for developing clinical pharmacology skills in students like Pharmacovigilance exercises, Preparation of Essential Medicines List, Prescription writing and P-drug selection, Prescription auditing, Promotion of Rational use of medicines,Critical evaluation of drug promotional literature, IV drip setting, drug dosage calculation, simulation-based learning on mannikins for learning techniques of drug administration through various routes etc.

Clinical services

CAL lab with 60 computers having Ex-pharm series software to teach experimental pharmacology skills and giving access to National Essential Drug Lists, Standard Treatment Guidelines, Banned Drugs List of CDSCO, PvPI, WHO Price Controlled Drugs List, Antibiotic Guidelines, Hospital Formulary.

Coordinating the skill lab activity like Basic Life Support etc for teaching clinical skills in a simulated environment to UGs, PGs, faculty and staff members

Part of Drugs & Therapeutic Committee – ensures rational use of medicines by evaluating the clinical use of pharmaceuticals, developing policies and managing the drug formulary system

Spreading awareness on Safe disposal of Medicines through departmental project work.

The Central Animal House is registered with CPCSEA. We have Institutional Animal Ethics Committee to safeguard the animal rights.

Antimicrobial Stewardship Program-Analysis of antimicrobials being given in hospital in view of its indication, Escalation and De-Escalation, dose optimization based on hepatic and renal function of the patient, timely IV /oral switch and monitoring of Reserve antimicrobial usage.
