Mahatma Gandhi University of medical Sciences and technology is a conglomerate of institutions of health education, which include the colleges of Medical Sciences. The state of the art, tertiary care, department of Pulmonary medicine at Mahatma Gandhi hospital offers a teaching environment with abundant clinical material and highly qualified teaching faculty, so essential for being a training institute expected to impart quality medical education.

The department is established for conducting DM Pulmonary Medicine course. Truly adhering to our motto “Health is Happiness” the department provides best medical care at reasonable rates. our special emphasis is on the clinical training of our students and to help develop lifelong learning instincts in them. In this direction, we are in the process to establish a ‘state of the art’ interventional pulmonology including EBUS, Bronchoscopy Cryo, APC, Bronchoscopic Cautery, and Medical Thoracoscopy. Our PFT lab is equipped with Spirometer and DLCO machine.

Soon we are planning to get impulse Oscillometer for pulmonary function testing. We are conducting Allergy Skin Prick tests for patients of Allergy and asthma. We like to ensure that our faculty remains in constant touch with the recent developments in their field of specialization, as well as, in the latest technologies of imparting medical education. Our faculty continue to contribute a number of publications, in both national and international journals, every year.p>
